Norman Osborn and Spider-Man are about to team up together, as the former foes will join forces to give the web-slinger a brand new costume courtesy of Oscorp. In a brand new preview for The Amazing Spider-Man #7 by Marvel Comics, Osborn offers Peter Parker a job at one of his most advanced technological facilities, setting the stage up for the hero to eventually wear an Oscorp suit soon.
Norman Osborn has long been one of Spider-Man's most notorious villains, as the father of his best friend, Harry, transformed into the Green Goblin after succumbing to his madness. However, in more recent arcs of The Amazing Spider-Man, Norman was cleansed of his evil by the Sin-Eater, as he seemed to turn a new leaf in trying to make the world a better place. Now, Osborn is offering Peter Parker a new job, which will lead to Spider-Man getting a brand new Oscorp suit that represents a partnership that previously seemed impossible.
In a brand new preview for The Amazing Spider-Man #7 by Zeb Wells, John Romita Jr, Scott Hannam Marcio Menyz, and Joe Caramagna from Marvel Comics (H/T AIPT), Spider-Man's upcoming partnership with Norman Osborn starts to become clearer. While the first part of the preview deals with Vulture being told by his granddaughter Tiana Toomes that she doesn't want to be a part of his life, leading the villain to promise to kill Spider-Man, the second part features Peter Parker getting a job offer from Norman Osborn.
In Midtown Manhattan, Norman Osborn welcomes Peter Parker to Oscropt, where he reveals that he invited him to take a look at his new offices. The former villain admits he has alternate motives, offering Parker a job at his new company. Osborn attempts to give his "hard sell" to Spider-Man, saying the new version of Oscrop is about finding altruistic uses for engineering - with Parker impressed with what he sees. The conversation is a precursor to Norman Osborn soon building a new Spider-Man suit for Peter, which has been seen in previews for the very next issue.
Norman Osborn seems to be fully embracing his new lease on life, as Oscorp has become the important new home of technological advancements and discoveries in the field of science and engineering. Peter Parker is still understandably weary about trusting Osborn. However, considering his former villain is not only about to build him a new suit but also become a hero himself as the Gold Goblin, Norman Osborn appears to be making good with his second chance and helping make the world a better place. Surely, nothing will go wrong with the development. The Amazing Spider-Man #7 by Marvel Comics is in stores Wednesday.
