Fans of Selling Sunset have been anxiously waiting for news and updates concerning season 6 since the show was renewed in June, especially after the dramatic events of season 5. Chelsea Lazkani, one of the Oppenheim Group's newest agents, joined the cast for season 5 and quickly became close to Christine, who was on bad terms with almost all of the other women. After skipping out on the season 5 reunion, Christine announced that she was leaving Selling Sunset to open her own brokerage, although Christine later teased that she would, in fact, be a part of season 6. While Christine's fate on Selling Sunset is still ambiguous, fan-favorite Maya Vander, who now lives in Miami, confirmed that she would not be back for season 6.
Although viewers will miss Maya's presence on Selling Sunset, Netflix has hired two Oppenheim Group agents to join the cast for seasons 6 and 7. Per Deadline, Nicole Young and Bre Tiesi will make their reality television debuts when the series returns, which is rumored to be sometime in 2023. Described as an "O.G." of the Oppenheim Group, Nicole was originally scouted for Selling Sunset season 1 and is one of the Oppenheim Group's most successful agents with over $100 million in sales. As for Bre, the entertainment influencer, according to Deadline, is new to the world of real estate after previously working as a model and actor. Selling Sunset fans may recognize Bre for her relationship with Wild 'N Out host Nick Cannon; Bre recently gave birth to Nick's eighth child, Legendary Love, on June 28.
Shortly after Selling Sunset announced their new additions to the cast, Nicole and Bre both revealed their excitement and what viewers can expect from them when season 6 premieres. Taking to Instagram to share the news with her 8,500 followers, Nicole gushed that she was " so excited to be joining the cast and my longtime friends and [Oppenheim Group] coworkers." While Nicole told People that she felt ready to film Selling Sunset scenes now that she's "grown personally and professionally a lot," Bre explained that as a new mother, she is particularly interested in getting to know soon-to-be-mother Heather, who is due in early 2023. Describing herself as someone who works "24/7," Bre also told People that despite being new to the world of real estate, she "definitely feels no pressure to prove myself whatsoever."
Although Selling Sunset fans have expressed interest in male Oppenheim Group agents joining the series, Netflix's dedicated viewers are interested to see what Nicole and Bre bring to seasons 6 and 7. While Selling Sunset season 6 has no official release date yet, its spin-off, Selling The OC, will premiere August 24 on Netflix. While fans have enjoyed watching some seriously-dramatic moments on Selling Sunset over the past five seasons, Netflix's audience are hoping to see, more than anything else, some luxurious homes with some of Los Angeles' biggest clients.
