Maxine is a top-notch pitcher who makes way for this television series to broaden the scope of the film. Maxine’s talent and ability as a pitcher is going to need to be met with her determination to make her way in the league as a young black woman. This character is an opportunity for this television version to incorporate more women’s stories.

Originally from Brooklyn, Greta is the first basewoman who tries out for the league with her best friend Jo. She’s an adventurous and lively teammate with an impressive reach, on and off the field. Beautiful and flirtatious, Greta really gives the Peaches a run for their money.
Raised in California, D’Arcy moved to New York City after finishing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from Southern Oregon University. She joined a musical-comedy company called Venus Rising, toured with the Upright Citizens Brigade, and eventually held a recurring role on one of the best comedy shows created by women, Broad City. But it was her role as Janet on the NBC comedy series The Good Place that earned her critical acclaim and two award nominations.
Max’s best friend and colleague, Clance was born and raised in Rockford. She is Max’s biggest champion and will help her any way she can. She’s an aspiring artist and newlywed.
This British actress, writer, director, and producer has worked on short films, feature films, and on television. She can be recognized in appearances and recurring roles in highly rated projects like Holby City, Sex Education, and The Last Tree. She’s a staff writer on A League of Their Own, and directed and acted in the short film Brain in Gear.
A gifted runaway decides to try out for the league to get away from her complicated past. She’s an excellent athlete from Texas who seems disconnected. Despite her poker face with her teammates, she is vigilant about her athletic performance and playing with the Rockford Peaches.
This Mexican-born actress and writer made her acting debut off-Broadway in 2006 in Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind. In 2011 she starred in the film she’d also written called Otis Under Sky. Roberta had a cameo in the Oscar-winning Birdman. She has made guest appearances in television series including her breakout role as an artist on the show I Love Dick. She was also a series regular on the Latino television drama Vida and the HBO series The Deuce.
Playing shortstop, Jess wants nothing more than to be on the field and keep the team in line. She isn’t comfortable with the performance angle of the women’s league. She’s a tough peach and just wants to play the game.
Kelly McCormack can be found in front of the camera and behind the scenes. From writing to producing and directing, this Canadian actress does it all. She most recently starred in and wrote the independent film Sugar Daddy in 2020. She’s had recurring roles in a few earlier television series like Killjoys and Letterkenny.

In 2016, she played the young Antía in Julieta, which was directed by Pedro Almodóvar, director of one of the best Spanish movies, dubbing her an “Almodóvar girl”.
This hypochondriac, with a humidifier in hand, joins the Rockford Peaches and plays left field. She endears herself to her roommate Carson, and Carson helps Shirley face her insecurities so she can feel more like a part of the team and manage her anxiety in the game and in life.
In one of the best upcoming movies, Don’t Worry Darling, Kate Berlant plays Peg alongside Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, and Olivia Wilde. She’s also made an appearance in the series Life & Beth, starring Amy Schumer, as the girlfriend in a couple in the opening scene of the first episode. This stand-up comedian, actress, and writer is also in The Characters and has created her own Vimeo original series, 555.

She ends up drafted for third base and gets to show off her power hitter skills alongside her lifelong friend. Jo holds nothing back. She stands up for her teammates and for what she believes in.
Most widely known for her role as Heather Chandler in the television version of Heathers, Melanie Field has starred in several other series. She played a mom and blogger, Sunrise, on the Netflix series You. And as a singer as well as an actress, she got to show what she was made of as the leader of a quartet in the show Florida Girls.
Not much is known about the character Dale Dickey is playing in the 2022 Amazon series A League of Their Own. She did reveal in an interview that Beverly is, in fact, the girls’ chaperone, so she would most likely be wherever the Rockford Peaches happen to be playing.
Dale Dickey has been in independent and mainstream film and television since the mid-1990s. Some of her most recognizable television roles would be Patty on the NBC series My Name is Earl or Spooge’s Lady on Breaking Bad. Dickey is starring opposite Wes Studi in the independent film, A Love Song, being released July 29, 2022, about two childhood companions who are hoping to reconnect after decades of being apart.
